Meet the Chiropractor

Meet Dr. Julet Hutchens

Dr. Julet Hutchens has been in practice for 24 years. She truly enjoys being a chiropractor and is still in awe over the powerful, positive effects of a Chiropractic adjustment. She classifies herself as a musculo-skeletal specialist, because not only is she addressing the spine in her treatments, but she performs many muscle releases to help enhance the effects of the adjustments. By nature, she is a caregiver and nurturer, therefore, she tailors her treatments to the patient rather than forcing her technique on the patient.

Along with being a Chiropractor, Dr. Hutchens is also a certified Pilates Instructor and teaches 1 to 2 Pilates classes a week at the Parker Recreation Center.  As an active person, who works out regularly, she believes that incorporating core strengthening exercises with chiropractic adjustments gives longer lasting results.

Her experience treating disabled patients started after she began dating her husband, who is a T-8 injury level paraplegic. At the time, he had been confined to a wheelchair for 16 years. Together, they were featured in a national publication, Paraplegia News, in an article focusing on effective alternative therapies for paraplegics. Her experience with disabled patients ranges from paraplegics, quadriplegics, patients with cerebral palsy and polio, MS, Parkinsons and stroke patients.

Dr. Hutchens is an avid bowler, and enjoys golf, running, cycling and reading. She graduated from Life West Chiropractic School in Northern California in 1998. She has worked in a corporate health care environment as a chiropractor for over 7 years before opening her own practice in 2007.
